Snoop and the blinged out marine mammal posed for pics at Clyde the Sea Lion’s crib at San Diego’s SeaWorld the other day.

Clyde may actually earn Snoop back some of the street cred he lost with “California Gurls.”

James Franco and Freida Pinto were hand in hand yesterday to work on Rise of the Apes in Vancouver. He arrived in Canada a few weeks ago to settle in before shooting started, but James has been characteristically busy. His Eat, Pray, Love comes out soon, as does his beatnik-era project Howl — it turns out that James has lots in common with his character, Allen Ginsberg. Once James wraps up his movie with Freida, he’ll be heading to New Haven to start his PhD studies. He thrives on all the activity, recently telling New York magazine, “I’m doing it because I love it. Why not do as many things I love as I can? As long as the work is good.” Freida, meanwhile, will be busy on the promotional trail herself with Miral and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger hitting theaters later this year.

After doing the Master Cleanse with her husband earlier this month, Demi Moore moved immediately into another “healthier” diet.

On Monday a fan asked Demi how many days she had stuck to the Master Cleanse, which involves consuming nothing but lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup.

“Only 4 but 2day’s day 13 4me on The Clean Program! http://j.mp/a6N7qm RT @MirandaMartinez day 30 of Master Cleanse! How many days did u do?” she tweeted.

The Clean Program is the creation of Dr. Alejandro Junger, who helped Giuliana Rancic and Gwyneth Paltrow lose weight. It is a 21-day regimen of smoothies, and salads for dinner are allowed.

When one of Demi’s followers politely said she was not interested in the Clean Program because “healthy diet & exercise are all that’s required,” Demi got defensive.

“@chazzyb31 I think you need to research what it is I am doing there is no starving involved! It is all about nourishing the body!” she tweeted. And: “@ElenorRigby yeah I think she doesn’t know what she is talking about!”

Later a fan asked Demi for tips on getting through the Master Cleanse, and Demi admitted there are healthier things than the severe diet she just two weeks ago declared was “all about health!!!”

Melissa Rycroft is going from ballroom to baby.

The former Dancing with the Stars and Bachelor contestant is expecting her first child with husband Tye Strickland, her rep tells PEOPLE.

“Apparently Tye and I wanted to see how many life-changing events we could fit into one calendar year,” Rycroft said, while sharing her news Wednesday on Good Morning America, “from getting engaged, married, new job, and we are now pregnant.” The reality star also joked that right now she has a “baby pooch,” though “the baby bump will come later.”

Rycroft, 27, and Strickland, an insurance agent, tied the knot in December in Mexico.

In addition to starting a family, Rycroft’s other upcoming project will include co-hosting the upcoming reality series Bachelor Pad with Chris Harrison.

It looks like Lady Gaga’s relationship with on-off boyfriend Luc Carl is anything but a bad romance.

After all, the “Paparazzi” singer was spotted by the, er, paparazzi on Monday using her poker face to suck face with him during a pool party at the St. Regis Hotel in Houston, Texas.

OK, enough with the lame song references.

Let’s just say it’s kinda nice for a change to see Gaga temporarily free herself from her wacky wardrobe to simply kick back, relax and spend some time not being Gaga.

Then again, the sight of her wading in the water dressed in any of her crazy couture outfits would actually be pretty spectacular too.

In the latest in a run of recordings allegedly capturing a ranting Mel Gibson, there’s one big difference: This time, he knew he was being recorded, given he allegedly left these messages on voicemail.

In a series of eight late-night voicemails released Wednesday by RadarOnline, Gibson is allegedly heard name-calling and swearing at his ex-lover Oksana Grigorieva, apparently after a tree-planting ceremony that day had turned sour.

A source close to Oksana tells PEOPLE that Gibson had become enraged after accusing her of flirting with a gardener at one of his Malibu properties, where the couple had met to bury their daughter Lucia’s placenta on Feb. 18.

“You were a sour-faced bitch today,” Gibson says in one voicemail he allegedly left on Oksana’s home phone. “Do you think it was tricky to get that tree in the hole, the placenta and organize that ? Do you know how much time and money went into that? Did you thank me? Did you even have a smile on your face? , no … You don’t give a , do you? You really are a shallow bitch. Everything about you stinks, and I am seeing it real loud and clear.”

According to RadarOnline, Oksana received about 30 phone calls from Gibson that night after she’d left the ceremony – and the relationship – that day.

Also on the tape, Gibson allegedly slams Grigorieva’s beloved musical talent.

“You are just ordinary,” he says on the voicemail allegedly left on Oksana’s home phone. “That goes for the talent too – it’s ordinary. It’s not extraordinary. It’s pretty common. I’d like to see you play a concert sometime. You make mistakes all over with live performances. You can’t do it. So touring is out of the question for you, because you will it up … So give it up.”

She may have fallen in love with his funny side, but Katy Perry was even more attracted to another aspect of Russell Brand.

“I think in marriage, when you’re picking a partner, one of the things to keep in mind is, ‘Would they be a good baby daddy?’ ” the “California Gurls” singer, 25, said during a YouTube interview in which she answered questions sent in by fans. “And be perfect.”

But before letting her fiancé, 35, show off his parenting skills, Perry – who is already mom to the couple’s “third child,” a kitten named Krusty – wants to focus on tying the knot. “We are excited to get married, of course,” she says.

And for the big day, the singer has already chosen one key fashion accessory: The perfect set of nails.

“I’m kind of a nail aficionado, freak. Sometimes I’ll have pictures of my cat on my nails, or I had a Willy Wonka-themed birthday party, so I had Oompa Loompa on my nails,” she says.

But Perry’s taking a much simpler approach for the nuptials.

“I think for my wedding I’ll do what is called wedding nails, where it’s traditional and pretty,” she says. “I don’t know if I’d want Oompa Loompas on my nails while taking photos, so I’m going to have wedding white nails.

Ali Larter showed off her baby bump outside of a yoga studio and picked up a green tea after class in LA yesterday. Her pregnant belly was on display in classic black at Comic-Con over the weekend where she attended the Resident Evil: Afterlife panel. Ali announced her pregnancy last week and has been prepping for her special delivery and satisfying her many cravings. The mom-to-be is glowing on the August cover of Lucky magazine, where it was all about her hair at the shoot that took place before she was ready to reveal she’s expecting.

But now, Bill and Hillary Clinton’s little girl is all grown up and planning to tie the knot this Saturday. And while all the definite details are on lockdown— “I am under very strict orders not to talk about it,” Hillary herself told NBC News—here’s what we can tell you about what’s going down this weekend:

1. Here Comes the Groom: The former first daughter is marrying Marc Mezvinsky, 32, an investment banker at 3G Capital Management in New York. The happy couple met in Hilton Head, S.C., when they were teenagers and then were undergraduate classmates at Stanford, but they didn’t start dating until 2005. Marc is one of 11 children, both biological and adopted. While having Bill and Hillary as in-laws would be daunting for anyone, Mezcinsky’s no stranger to the Beltway or scandal, his dad and mom having both served in Congress. His parents are divorced; dad Ed Mezcinsky was released from prison in 2008 after five years behind bars for wire and bank fraud.

2. Location, Location: Well, Bill Clinton isn’t president anymore, so It’s not going to be in the White House rose garden or at Camp David. The big money is on Astor Courts, a 13,000-square-foot Beaux Arts mansion built in the image of Versailles’ Grand Trianon, in Rhinebeck, N.Y. The proprietress, of course, would not confirm any such plans to any news outlet, but the nearby Beekman Arms Inn and Belvedere Mansion were already sold out for the weekend of July 31 two weeks beforehand. Very uninformative invitations were sent out merely instructing the guests to be within driving distance of Manhattan on the big day with promises of more details TBA. The village of Rhinebeck (pop. 3,077) is recognized as a Colonial-era U.S. Historic District. Residents who have traded malls and McDonalds for horse farms and wineries brag that there are no chain stores or other corporate eyesores marring their Main Street. Emma Roberts and Rufus Wainwright were born in Rhinebeck and celebs such as Liam Neeson and Bette Midler keep vacation homes in the area.

3. Party People: Around 400 guests, all of whom are required to have some sort of personal connection to the bride or groom, are expected. The estimable list, according to various reports, included President Barack Obama and family (who aren’t expected to be there), Oprah Winfrey, Barbra Streisand, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, and former British P.M. John Major. A rep for Al and Tipper Gore, who recently separated, has said that neither is attending the nuptials, though it’s unknown whether they were invited at all.

4. Breaking the Bank: A shindig such as this one can run anywhere between $3 million and $5 million, including around $200,000 for security alone, according to large-scale event-planning experts. Chelsea is going to be walking down the aisle in an Oscar de la Renta—or Vera Wang—gown. According to the New York Times, Jeff Leatham, artistic director of the Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris is handling the flowers, New Jersey-based Vali Entertainment is coordinating the music and the coincidentally named Clinton Vineyards is providing some of the wine. Boston wedding planner Bryan Rafanelli is tying it all together.

5. You Thought Security was Tight at Gisele’s Wedding: Local police have already arrested two Norwegian photographers for trespassing on the grounds of Astor Courts—days before the wedding—and the police department has been bogged down with residents’ complaints that there are reporters tromping all over the place.
